Dear friends,
We have good news!!
We enrolled an e-Twinning project last February whose founder and coordinator is the English teacher and colleague María Pérez. She had the great idea of creating this project in which we will be working on folk traditions, phone photography, video edition at the same time we practice our English.
One of the main objetives is that students get to know up to 7-9 different regional folk and popular traditions from 7-9 different countries of Europe through phone photography and create a group calendar for the 2023/2024 academic year which somehow involves and leaves a mark on social and/or environmental causes. Among the countries that take part int it we can mention Slovenia, Greece, Belgium...and María´s students from the Tomás de la Fuente Jurado high school in El Provencio (Cuenca).
We show you the selected pictures for the months of October, November, December and January.
Chestnuts in jackets (Slovakia) Kerstmarkt (Belgium)
Our 4th ESO students have been working about our so popular Carnival in Villarrobledo. They have taken photos with their mobile phones, created a video and a presentation about it, so the other participants may find out a little bit about Carnival celebration.
We hope to learn a lot about different traditions in Europe and contribute to one of the objetives of the project: create a calendar and sell it to get some money to buy trees and plant them.
