Dear friends,
In Physics and Chemistry, our 2nd ESO students made their own little parachute and could learn the phenomenon at which a parachute works. They can also test speed by means of time and height.

Dear friends,
We have good news!!
We enrolled an e-Twinning project last February whose founder and coordinator is the English teacher and colleague María Pérez. She had the great idea of creating this project in which we will be working on folk traditions, phone photography, video edition at the same time we practice our English.
One of the main objetives is that students get to know up to 7-9 different regional folk and popular traditions from 7-9 different countries of Europe through phone photography and create a group calendar for the 2023/2024 academic year which somehow involves and leaves a mark on social and/or environmental causes. Among the countries that take part int it we can mention Slovenia, Greece, Belgium...and María´s students from the Tomás de la Fuente Jurado high school in El Provencio (Cuenca).
We show you the selected pictures for the months of October, November, December and January.

Our 4th ESO students have been working about our so popular Carnival in Villarrobledo. They have taken photos with their mobile phones, created a video and a presentation about it, so the other participants may find out a little bit about Carnival celebration.
We hope to learn a lot about different traditions in Europe and contribute to one of the objetives of the project: create a calendar and sell it to get some money to buy trees and plant them.
Some examples:
Last Friday, 17th March students celebrated Saint ´s Patrick Day. This day is the national holiday in Ireland. It´s also a popular celebration in the USA because there, there are a lot of Irish inmigrants.
Our students could know a little bit about this tradition and its origin by means of watching some videos. Then, they could make a pin of a shamrock for them to be lucky in the future ;-)
Other students played kahoot to check they learnt a lot about it.
Here you have some pictures and a short video to enjoy!
